Aim and Scope

Vindilac Business & Law is a South African peer-reviewed, open access, scientific journal that welcomes submissions from researchers across the world. It is dedicated to publish and disseminate high-quality academic articles in the broad field of business and law. It aims to publish peer-reviewed original research, theoretical and practical advances in business and law. The Journal includes articles, selected studies, book reviews, technical reports and conference proceedings etc.


Frequency
 Vindilac Business & Law is published biannually, in May and September. Submissions can however be made during any time of the year.

Copyright

Copyrights for articles published in Vindilac Business & Law are retained by the authors, with first publication rights granted to the journal. The journal/publisher is not responsible for subsequent uses of the work. It is the author's responsibility to bring an infringement action if so desired by the author. Authors retain the copyright and full publishing rights without restrictions.


Content Preservation

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. The journal also allows authors to deposit versions of their work to their prefered repository.  In addition to this, all published articles in the journal are deposited in the Social Science Research Network repository.


Open Access Statement

This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or their institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.


CC Licenses
  • Creative Commons licenses give everyone from individual creators to large institutions a standardized way to grant the public permission to use their creative work under copyright law. This license allows reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, so long as attribution is given to the creator. The license allows for commercial use. For completeness, the journal makes use of the CC BY license.

Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism, including duplicate publication of the author's own work, in whole or in part without proper citation is not tolerated by the journal. Manuscripts submitted to the journal may be checked for originality using anti-plagiarism software.

Peer Review Process

Research articles in this journal will be peer-reviewed by a double-blind review by at least two reviewers. The reviewer then makes a decision based on what was agreed: rejected, major revision, minor revision, or accepted. The decision whether or not to accept the manuscript will be made at the editorial hearing forum.
